Have you checked the speakers are connected, and the amplifier is set to CD input. If they are correct then your amplifier and CD maybe faulty. In this case if they are separate units then try other inputs to check the amplifier e.g. the tape deck if you have sound from the speakers then the CD player is most likely to be the cause. If this is the case then the unit will need to be looked at by a trained engineer. Click here to book a call back with us.
7 My CD is jumping or not reading disks
Have you checked the disk for scratches or fingerprints if you have fingerprints on the disk try cleaning the disk with a soft lint free cloth starting in the centre cleaning in straight lines to the outside if this fails then your optical pickup ass'y maybe dirty or faulty, these can be cleaned using laser cleaners
BUT we do not recommend the use of such devices as in some circumstances they can cause damage to the optical pickup ass'y. In this case we would recommend repair by a trained engineer. Click here to book a call back with us.
